A highly regarded Legal 500 law firm is continuing the strategic growth of its Dispute Resolution department with the addition of junior and associate-level Construction Disputes Solicitors.
We are partnering exclusively with the firm on these appointments.
The team acts on a broad range of contentious construction matters for developers, businesses, investors, SMEs and high-net-worth clients across London and the South East. The role offers exposure to sophisticated, high-value disputes typically associated with larger City practices, whilst maintaining a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a solicitor looking to accelerate their development within a team known for hands-on mentoring, direct partner access and strong progression opportunities.
You will work closely with experienced construction disputes specialists on a broad range of contentious matters, including:
- Defective works disputes
- Payment disputes (interim and final account)
- Delay, loss and expense claims
- Extensions of time and liquidated damages matters
- Claims involving collateral warranties, guarantees and third-party security arrangements
- Adjudication, mediation and other forms of ADR
- High Court and Technology & Construction Court litigation
The role will also involve providing strategic project advice during live construction matters to help clients minimise risk and avoid escalation where possible.
The Candidate Suitable candidates are likely to have:
- NQ-3 or 4-7 years’ PQE
- Experience in construction disputes or broader commercial litigation with construction exposure
- Familiarity with JCT contracts and contentious construction issues
- Strong communication and drafting skills
- A collaborative and commercially minded approach
- Genuine enthusiasm to develop within a specialist disputes practice
