Construction Disputes Solicitor

London – £45,000 - £60,000

NQ-3 & 4-7 PQE | London & Thames Valley Work | Legal 500 Team | Exceptional Training & Development

A highly regarded Legal 500 law firm is continuing the strategic growth of its Dispute Resolution department with the addition of junior and associate-level Construction Disputes Solicitors.

We are partnering exclusively with the firm on these appointments.

The team acts on a broad range of contentious construction matters for developers, businesses, investors, SMEs and high-net-worth clients across London and the South East. The role offers exposure to sophisticated, high-value disputes typically associated with larger City practices, whilst maintaining a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a solicitor looking to accelerate their development within a team known for hands-on mentoring, direct partner access and strong progression opportunities.

You will work closely with experienced construction disputes specialists on a broad range of contentious matters, including:
  • Defective works disputes
  • Payment disputes (interim and final account)
  • Delay, loss and expense claims
  • Extensions of time and liquidated damages matters
  • Claims involving collateral warranties, guarantees and third-party security arrangements
  • Adjudication, mediation and other forms of ADR
  • High Court and Technology & Construction Court litigation
The role will also involve providing strategic project advice during live construction matters to help clients minimise risk and avoid escalation where possible.

  • NQ-3 or 4-7 years’ PQE
  • Experience in construction disputes or broader commercial litigation with construction exposure
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and contentious construction issues
  • Strong communication and drafting skills
  • A collaborative and commercially minded approach
  • Genuine enthusiasm to develop within a specialist disputes practice

Every suitable submission will first be met with an initial screening call with Dalton Frith at Douglas Scott, followed by a formal discussion with the hiring team at the firm.
