Commercial Litigation Solicitor

West Midlands – £35,000 - £45,000

Our client, a highly regarded national law firm with a strong reputation across both public and private sector work, is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Associate (2+ PQE) to join their busy and growing Cardiff team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and nationally recognised disputes practice, known for handling high-quality, complex contentious matters and offering clear progression within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role You will work on a broad range of commercial and civil disputes, acting for a diverse client base across both the public and private sectors. The role offers genuine variety and responsibility, with exposure to:

• Contractual disputes
• Judicial review matters
• Shareholder and partnership disputes
• Intellectual property disputes
• Professional negligence claims

You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in procurement challenges, advising both bidders and contracting authorities on key issues such as evaluation criteria, scoring methodologies and limitation points.
Alongside your caseload, you will be encouraged to play an active role in business development, including contributing to thought leadership, attending networking events, and building your profile in the market.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ PQE
• Strong experience in commercial litigation from a reputable firm
• Exposure to corporate disputes is highly desirable
• Interest or experience in procurement disputes would be advantageous
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and client-facing skills
• A collaborative team player with the confidence to manage your own matters
