Senior Restructuring and Insolvency Associate

West Midlands – £75,000 - £85,000

Our client, a highly regarded international law firm, is looking to recruit a Senior Associate to join its specialist non-contentious Restructuring & Insolvency team, based in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit, partner-led team advising on a broad range of high-quality restructuring and insolvency matters. You will work closely with lenders, insolvency practitioners, corporates and investors on complex and often high-value transactions.

The Role

You will be involved in a wide variety of work, including:

• Advising on administrations, liquidations and wider insolvency processes
• Supporting lenders on security reviews and enforcement strategies
• Acting on distressed transactions, including pre-pack administrations and asset disposals
• Advising directors on duties in distressed scenarios
• Drafting key restructuring documentation (e.g. standstills, waivers, security-related documents)

You will also collaborate closely with banking, finance and disputes teams on multi-disciplinary matters.

About You

• Qualified solicitor with experience in non-contentious restructuring & insolvency
• Strong technical knowledge of insolvency processes and banking/security matters
• Experience advising lenders, insolvency practitioners and corporates
• Commercially minded with strong client-facing skills
