Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor

Birmingham – £55,000 - £65,000

This is an excellent opportunity to begin or further develop your career within a dynamic and growing team, working alongside experienced Partners and Legal Directors on complex, high-quality contentious asset finance and equipment leasing disputes.

You will gain early responsibility while being fully supported to develop your technical expertise, commercial awareness and client-facing skills within a collaborative and ambitious environment.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior lawyers, you will be involved in a wide range of asset finance litigation matters, acting for lenders and equipment lessors on complex and often high-value disputes. The team is recognised for its pragmatic, commercially focused approach and its expertise in delivering strategic solutions in challenging cases.

You will be given the opportunity to take ownership of workstreams, build client relationships and develop your own specialism within a leading national practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Partners and senior lawyers on complex litigation matters
  • Drafting pleadings, legal documents, advice notes and correspondence
  • Preparing court bundles, disclosure, witness statement materials and instructions to counsel
  • Assisting with hearings, including working with agents and counsel
  • Managing smaller matters or discrete workstreams with appropriate supervision
  • Conducting legal research and applying findings to client advice
  • Communicating with clients, agents and third parties
  • Supporting business development and client relationship initiatives
  • Contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
About You

The successful candidate will:
  • Be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ–3 PQE)
  • Have a genuine interest in asset finance and equipment leasing disputes
  • Ideally have prior commercial litigation experience (seat or paralegal exposure advantageous)
  • Demonstrate strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Be confident producing clear, practical and commercially focused advice
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be highly organised with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Show ambition to contribute to business development and client relationship growth
  • Be a strong team player with a proactive and “can-do” attitude
