Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of quality work, the firm is now looking to appoint a Senior Corporate Associate to join its established and collaborative Corporate team.
The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Solicitor looking to take the next step within a respected regional practice offering high-quality work, strong client exposure and clear long-term progression opportunities.
Working closely with experienced Partners, you will advise on a broad range of transactional and advisory corporate matters whilst also managing your own caseload and developing client relationships.
Typical Matters Include: - Mergers & acquisitions
- Share and asset sales and purchases
- Management buy-outs and buy-ins
- Joint ventures
- Shareholder agreements and articles of association
- Company restructures and group reorganisations
- Corporate governance and company secretarial matters
- Succession planning and exit strategies
- Owner-managed business advisory work
- EMI schemes and employee share arrangements
- Family investment company structures
- General corporate advisory support
The client base includes entrepreneurial businesses, family-owned companies and larger regional and national organisations.
Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Have approximately 5+ years’ PQE within Corporate law
- Possess strong experience handling a broad range of corporate transactions
- Be confident managing matters with an appropriate level of supervision
- Demonstrate excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Have a commercial and pragmatic approach to advising clients
- Show an interest in business development and relationship management
- Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit and supportive team
Experience advising owner-managed businesses and family businesses would be advantageous, although not essential.
