Corporate Knowledge Lawyer

We are working with a leading Top 50 UK law firm seeking an experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join their Corporate team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with a strong M&A or corporate transactional background to take on a varied and influential role, supporting one of the firm’s key practice areas while helping shape the use of technology to deliver legal services.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate and working closely with the firm’s Head of Knowledge, you will enhance the efficiency, quality, and consistency of the Corporate team’s work. You will join an established knowledge function alongside a London-based PSL colleague focusing on Capital Markets, with this role concentrating on M&A and broader corporate advisory matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining precedent documents to reflect current law, market practice, and regulatory updates
- Creating know-how resources, including practice notes, checklists, model clauses, and transaction guides
- Organising and delivering training for lawyers at all levels on technical updates, transactional skills, and market trends
- Researching technical queries using tools such as Practical Law, FromCounsel, and Lexis
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, and circulating updates to the team
- Horizon scanning to identify upcoming legal or regulatory changes affecting clients or the practice
- Preparing client briefings and alerts on significant legal developments or market trends
- Exploring and implementing new technologies, including AI tools, to enhance productivity and service delivery
You will help the team streamline processes, improve document review, and support legal research, championing innovation across the corporate function. No prior technology expertise is required, curiosity, a proactive mindset, and enthusiasm for innovation are key.
About You - Qualified solicitor with corporate transactional experience, ideally focused on M&A
