Corporate Associate / Senior Associate

West Midlands – £40,000 - £80,000

The Opportunity

You will work closely with a highly regarded senior leadership group and partners across Birmingham, London and Manchester, with genuine encouragement to build profile, develop market presence and progress into a senior position within the team over time.

The role offers exposure to a broad and high-quality mix of work, including:
  • Equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, secondary fundraisings, rights issues, equity subscriptions, private placements, block trades and share buy-backs
  • Public M&A and takeovers involving AIM and Main Market listed companies
  • Corporate governance and ongoing listed company advisory work
  • Advising issuers, investment banks, brokers, nominated advisers and major shareholders
  • Significant cross-border transactional exposure, including transatlantic and pan-European matters
You will be encouraged to take day-to-day ownership of transactions, managing matters independently while working closely with partners on larger and more complex deals.

The Team & Platform You will be joining a large national corporate team with deep bench strength, operating on a genuinely collaborative basis across offices. The ECM team is well supported by a dedicated corporate PSL function, a comprehensive precedent bank and structured training programmes.

About You
  • 4+ years’ PQE with solid experience in equity capital markets and public M&A
  • Confident managing transactions and advising clients directly
  • Strong technical skills combined with sound commercial judgement
  • Enthusiastic about mentoring and developing junior lawyers
  • Keen to contribute to business development and client relationship growth
  • Personable, driven and collaborative, with ambition to progress within a national practice
