Liverpool – £41,000 - £55,000
Family Solicitor | Liverpool | Flexible Office Location
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its thriving and expanding Family Department.
Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of privately funded work, the firm is looking to appoint a solicitor who can help further develop and build a caseload of private family matters, with a particular focus on financial remedy and private children work.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys managing their own files and wants to be part of a supportive and collaborative team. The firm encourages its solicitors to take ownership of their cases from inception through to conclusion, whilst benefiting from strong supervision and support from experienced colleagues.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private family matters, including:
- Divorce and separation matters
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children disputes
- Non-molestation and occupation order applications
- General family law advisory work
Whilst some knowledge of Legal Aid family work would be beneficial, the primary focus of the role is the development and management of privately funded family matters.
The firm's Family Department continues to go from strength to strength and requires additional support to meet growing client demand. The team is particularly keen to attract a solicitor who is confident advising clients in relation to financial matters and who is motivated to contribute towards the continued growth of the department.
The firm operates across several locations and offers flexibility regarding the successful candidate's base office. However, there will be an expectation to travel between offices when required to meet clients and support the wider team.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in Family Law
- Strong experience handling privately funded family matters
- Confidence advising on financial remedy and private children matters
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Commercially minded with a desire to help grow and develop a private caseload
- Some Legal Aid knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
The firm offers a supportive culture where even newly qualified solicitors are entrusted with running their own caseloads whilst receiving excellent supervision and guidance. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful and growing team where there is genuine scope for long-term progression and career development.
