Housing Disrepair Senior Associate

Birmingham – £60,000 - £65,000

I am delighted to be partnered with a Tier 1 Legal 500 Defendant firm as they expand with a talented Senior Associate to join their thriving Social Housing Litigation practice in Manchester. You will have the opportunity to work closely with some of our largest clients and make a real difference in the social housing sector.

The Opportunity:

• Be a key part of a fast-growing Social Housing Litigation team, shaping its development and expanding client base.
• Provide excellent legal advice and support to social housing clients, helping them navigate complex issues and achieve the best outcomes.
• Make a positive impact on communities, ensuring fair and equitable access to housing.

Day To Day:

• Supervise a dedicated team of housing litigation handlers, providing guidance and oversight on a variety of claims.
• Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including housing disrepair, statutory nuisance, anti-social behaviour, and possession proceedings.
• Engage with clients, becoming their trusted advisor and anticipating their needs through your deep market knowledge.
• Contribute to business development and brand enhancement efforts, leveraging your expertise to identify new opportunities.
• Demonstrate a conscious concern for quality, working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in social housing litigation, with a proven track record of handling a range of civil claims.
• Proficient in pre-litigation claims handling and the litigation process, from commencement to trial.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.
