Large Loss Solicitor

Newcastle upon Tyne – £50,000 - £80,000

A Top Tier, defendant law firm is currently seeking a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor to join their Large Loss department.
 
You will be required to deal with claims involving injuries of the utmost severity and handle complex and technical insurance work.
 
The team currently deals with claims reserved at over £350,000, representing over £800 million of clients reserved. These claims are varied and include RTA, EL, PL and product liability files. These cases often involve spinal, amputation, brain and orthopaedic injuries.
 
 Skills required:

• Previous Experience within defendant Personal Injury files.
• Ideally 3 years + PQE
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and within a deadline
• Knowledge of CPR procedures.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Managing your own case-load whilst also assisting a Legal500 recommended Partner

 on high value, catastrophic claims

• Instructing various experts
• Reviewing and Analysing databases
• Assisting in investigations
• Attending court hearings as appropriate
• Achieving financial targets/KPIS
• Keeping up to date with legal developments
