Planning and Highways Associate
Birmingham – £65,000 - £75,000
Our client’s award-winning Planning team is expanding and is looking to recruit an experienced Planning Lawyer (3+ PQE) to support a diverse client base including local authorities, housing providers and ecclesiastical organisations.This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile regeneration and development projects while being part of a genuinely supportive and collaborative team.
The Role You will advise on a broad range of planning matters, including:
- Drafting and negotiating complex Section 106 agreements
- Progressing Compulsory Purchase Orders and advising on regeneration schemes
- Providing legal support at planning committees and handling appeals
- Collaborating with property colleagues on town centre and large-scale development projects
- Delivering client training and supporting business development initiatives
- 3+ years’ PQE with strong planning law experience
- Solid expertise in S106 agreements and CPO work
- Confident advising clients and committees on complex planning issues
- A team player with an interest in supervising juniors and contributing to growth
- Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
