Planning and Highways Associate

Birmingham – £65,000 - £75,000

Our client’s award-winning Planning team is expanding and is looking to recruit an experienced Planning Lawyer (3+ PQE) to support a diverse client base including local authorities, housing providers and ecclesiastical organisations.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile regeneration and development projects while being part of a genuinely supportive and collaborative team.

The Role You will advise on a broad range of planning matters, including:
  • Drafting and negotiating complex Section 106 agreements
  • Progressing Compulsory Purchase Orders and advising on regeneration schemes
  • Providing legal support at planning committees and handling appeals
  • Collaborating with property colleagues on town centre and large-scale development projects
  • Delivering client training and supporting business development initiatives
About You
  • 3+ years’ PQE with strong planning law experience
  • Solid expertise in S106 agreements and CPO work
  • Confident advising clients and committees on complex planning issues
  • A team player with an interest in supervising juniors and contributing to growth
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
