The Role You’ll sit within a specialist national Financial Services group, working with leading partners and advising major brands on a broad range of regulatory matters. Expect to:
- Advise on the Consumer Credit Act, regulated lending, and retail credit products
- Draft and review regulated consumer credit documentation
- Guide clients through FCA authorisations, permissions and perimeter issues
- Advise on FSMA, the FCA Handbook, SM&CR, and appointed representative arrangements
- Support clients with outsourcing, compliance frameworks, governance and oversight
- Work on matters involving payment services and e-money
- Manage client relationships and supervise junior team members
- Lead on client delivery, with scope to contribute to BD and thought leadership
You’ll be trusted early, encouraged to shape client relationships and have full visibility across the team and its strategic direction.
What You’ll Need
- 2-5 PQE in Financial Services, regulatory, commercial or consumer finance work
- Strong understanding of:
- Consumer Credit Act 1974
- FSMA 2000
- FCA Handbook
- Experience drafting regulated finance documents
- Confidence advising on regulatory perimeter issues, authorisations and compliance
- Interest in consumer finance, fintech, payments, and retail financial services
- Ability to manage client relationships and support juniors
