Senior Construction Associate

Greater London – £110,000 - £130,000

£110,000+ salary, approx. £7,700+ annual bonus + generous discretionary bonus + full benefits

You’ll work alongside some of the UK’s most respected construction and engineering lawyers on projects that shape skylines and infrastructure across the country. From major regeneration schemes to cutting-edge process plants, you’ll be at the heart of high-value, high-impact transactions, trusted to advise at every stage of the development lifecycle.

You’ll be given space to lead, and supported by partners who value sharp thinking and proactive client care. You’ll also be joining a team that genuinely invests in its people, demonstrated by a 7% annual bonus (c.£7,700 on a £110k base salary) and substantial additional bonuses paid to staff in recent cycles.

Flexibility, hybrid working, and long-term progression are all part of the package, whether you're looking to deepen your specialism in non-contentious work, or explore a mixed practice that includes disputes.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and support on non-contentious construction matters including JCT and NEC contracts, development agreements, and process plant documentation.
  • Advise on procurement strategy, corporate and real estate transactions, and property finance.
  • Act primarily for developers and employers, with opportunities to advise contractors and suppliers as well.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a cohesive national practice.
  • Engage in business development and cross-sector collaboration with colleagues in real estate, energy, and infrastructure.
What you’ll need
  • 4+ years’ post-qualification experience with a strong foundation in non-contentious construction.
  • Solid understanding of JCT, NEC and other industry-standard contracts.
  • A commercial mindset and ability to handle complex, high-value transactions.
  • Experience in either private practice or industry, both backgrounds welcomed.
  • Willingness to support junior lawyers and contribute to a dynamic team culture.
  • An interest in sector-specific work across infrastructure, real estate or energy.
