An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Duty Solicitor to join a highly regarded and expanding Criminal Defence team based in Salford.
This role is ideal for an ambitious Criminal Solicitor looking to join a firm with a strong reputation, excellent quality work and genuine opportunities for progression.
The Role

• Representing clients at police stations under the Duty Solicitor Scheme.
• Providing legal advice to clients throughout criminal investigations and proceedings.
• Managing a varied caseload of criminal matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court.
• Preparing and progressing Crown Court matters.
• Liaising closely with Counsel, police officers, court staff and third parties.
• Delivering a high standard of client care and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Participating in duty rota and out-of-hours work.

The Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in Criminal Defence.
• Duty Solicitor accreditation preferred.
• Experience undertaking police station attendances.
• Confident handling Magistrates' Court matters.
• Strong advocacy and client care skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
• Ambitious and keen to progress within a leading Criminal Defence practice.
