An exciting career opportunity not to be missed

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a progressive and supportive team in a role offering real responsibility, career development and the opportunity to build lasting client relationships.

The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice across Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Tax, Probate and Estate Administration, while managing a varied and interesting caseload. Importantly, this is more than simply a fee-earning role. You will have the opportunity to develop your own client base, take responsibility for matters, supervise junior colleagues and play an important role in the continued growth of the Private Client team.

You will manage a diverse caseload for a wide range of individual clients, providing high-quality legal advice while delivering the exceptional level of personal service for which the firm is known.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and supervising one Fee Earner and one Legal Assistant, providing support, guidance and opportunities for their professional development.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships through excellent service and trusted advice.
  • Meeting clients at their homes or other agreed locations where appropriate, providing a genuinely personal service.
  • Managing a varied Private Client caseload efficiently and effectively, responding positively to changing client and business requirements.
  • Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney.
  • Taking responsibility for a broad range of Private Client matters, including Trusts, Probate, Tax and Estate Administration.
  • Progressing matters proactively and ensuring agreed service levels and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Using the firm's case management systems effectively to maintain high standards of file management and client service.
  • Developing your personal fee-earning contribution and achieving agreed time and billing targets.
  • Working closely with colleagues across other practice areas to provide clients with a comprehensive and joined-up legal service.
  • Carrying out legal research where required and providing clear, accurate and commercially focused advice.
  • Keeping fully up to date with changes in legislation, regulation and best practice.
  • Ensuring files are maintained to the highest professional standards and matters are progressed efficiently from instruction through to completion.
This role offers an excellent platform for someone who wants to take the next significant step in their Private Client career.

You will have the opportunity to:
  • Take ownership of a high-quality and varied caseload.
  • Develop and strengthen your own client relationships and professional network.
  • Gain valuable experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Broaden your expertise across Wills, Trusts, Probate, Tax and Estate Administration.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues across the wider firm.
  • Develop your commercial and business development skills.
  • Increase your responsibility and profile within the department as your experience and contribution grow.
  • Progress your career within a supportive environment that recognises individual achievement and potential.
The firm are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for helping people.
You will be confident managing your own matters, comfortable advising clients across a range of Private Client issues and able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Just as importantly, you will have the empathy and emotional intelligence required when dealing with elderly, vulnerable or incapacitated clients and their families.

You will be a natural team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to the wider success of the firm.

This is a chance to join a team where your contribution will be valued, your expertise will be recognised and your career can continue to develop.

If you are looking for a role that combines quality Private Client work with responsibility, client contact, team leadership and genuine opportunities for progression, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

They are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, not simply take their next job. If that sounds like you, we would be delighted to hear from you.
