This is a genuine opportunity to join a well-known regional firm at an exciting time, with a busy Private Client team, quality work available immediately and the scope to make a real contribution. This
immediate-start opportunity offers the chance to work on a high-quality and varied caseload within a supportive, established team.
The successful candidate will advise clients across a broad range of private client matters, including
Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate, Court of Protection and capacity issues, including deputyship applications.
You will take responsibility for your own caseload while working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an excellent service to clients and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
Your work will include:
- Conducting initial client consultations and triage where required;
- Drafting Wills and providing advice on Trusts, capacity and Inheritance Tax;
- Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney, including applications and registrations;
- Advising on Trusts and preparing appropriate Trust documentation;
- Advising and liaising with clients in relation to Probate and estate administration;
- Dealing with Court of Protection and deputyship matters;
- Managing matters from instruction through to completion;
- Working closely with colleagues to develop and grow the Private Client department;
- Building professional relationships, networking and contributing to business development;
- Monitoring and managing WIP and client financing;
- Working towards agreed monthly and annual fee targets;
- Maintaining accurate, well-organised and fully compliant files;
- Attending team meetings, training and relevant professional development courses;
- Using the firm's case management systems effectively and in accordance with internal procedures;
- Handling client enquiries and correspondence promptly and professionally; and
- Ensuring full compliance with the firm's policies, procedures and professional standards.
The firm is looking for a
Private Client Solicitor with around 3 years' PQE or equivalent experience, although candidates with the right level of expertise and experience are encouraged to apply.
You will ideally have a strong grounding across
Wills, Probate, Trusts, LPAs and Court of Protection matters, together with excellent client-care skills and the ability to manage your own caseload effectively.
