Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor looking to step away from the demands of a traditional fee-earning caseload while remaining at the forefront of employment law?
We're looking for a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join an award-winning Public Sector Employment team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an employment law specialist who enjoys the technical and strategic aspects of legal practice and wants to play a key role in shaping best practice, supporting complex matters, and driving excellence across a highly regarded team.
The Opportunity As a Professional Support Lawyer, you will provide expert legal knowledge and strategic support to the Employment team, helping ensure the highest standards of legal advice, training, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and communicate developments in employment law and emerging legal trends.
- Provide expert legal guidance, resources and technical support to advisors and colleagues.
- Support complex employment matters and contribute to case strategy.
- Create high-quality content for clients, marketing initiatives and online resources.
- Deliver legal training sessions, workshops and best practice guidance.
- Support business development activities, thought leadership and profile-raising initiatives.
- Maintain exceptional standards of client care, compliance and professional practice.
About You Essential Requirements - Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (or equivalent) with at least 4 years' PQE.
- Strong experience within an Employment Law team.
- Excellent knowledge of employment matters including Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, TUPE and Redundancy.
- Confident delivering presentations, training and legal updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
Desirable - Experience advising clients within the Education, Housing or Local Authority sectors.
- Previous Professional Support Lawyer experience within Employment Law.
