Family Solicitor | 3-5 Years' PQE | Manchester | Hybrid Working
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Family Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Manchester.
This role would suit a self-sufficient solicitor with around 3-5 years' PQE who is passionate about legal aid work and enjoys making a genuine difference to clients. The successful candidate will join an experienced and supportive Family team, handling a predominantly legally aided caseload alongside a small amount of privately funded work.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within a respected department, with a clear pathway towards Partnership for the right individual.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, including:
- Predominantly legally aided private family matters.
- Children Act proceedings and private children matters.
- Low-value financial remedy cases.
- Domestic abuse and injunction applications.
- A small proportion of privately funded family work.
- Regular advocacy and attendance at Family Court hearings.
You will work closely with experienced colleagues while enjoying the autonomy to manage your own files from instruction through to conclusion.
About You
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors who can demonstrate:
- Around 3-5 years' PQE in Family Law.
- Experience managing a private family caseload with a strong legal aid focus.
- Legal Aid Supervisor status, or the ability to meet the supervisory requirements, would be highly advantageous.
- Confidence handling matters independently, including advocacy and court attendance.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- A proactive and motivated approach, with the ambition to help develop the department and build a long-term career.
