Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Healthcare team in Birmingham. Following a surge of new client wins and increased instruction across existing portfolios, the team is expanding to accommodate significant ongoing growth.
The Role
In this position, you will manage a high-quality caseload of complex, defendant healthcare litigation files, with a strong emphasis on Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims.
Key responsibilities include:
- Caseload Management: Running a full caseload of defendant healthcare and EL/PL litigation matters from instruction through to resolution.
- High-Value Litigation: Handling complex, high-value claims requiring technical precision and strategic dispute resolution skills.
- Client Relationship Management: Acting as a primary contact for key clients, building long-term relationships, and participating in business development initiatives.
- Team Collaboration: Working alongside top-tier partners and fee earners recognised for innovation and market-leading solutions.

Candidate Profile
- Qualification: UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Fellow with relevant post-qualification experience (8+ PQE.
- Technical Expertise: Solid background in defendant EL/PL litigation, ideally within the healthcare sector.
- Commercial Mindset: Proactive, confident in client-facing environments, and comfortable taking part in business development activities.
