A well-established law firm based in Birmingham / Bristol / Leeds, is seeking an experienced Costs Lawyer or Costs Draftsperson to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to develop expertise in costs law and practice across multiple office locations including Birmingham, Bristol, and Leeds. The successful candidate will work on a varied caseload, supporting clients through the costs process and drafting detailed costs documentation.
- Specialise in costs law and costs drafting across a range of matter types
- Work flexibly across Bevan Brittan's Birmingham, Bristol, and Leeds offices
- Join a respected firm with strong expertise in costs practice and client relationships
- Proven experience as a costs lawyer or costs draftsperson, with a solid understanding of costs principles and procedure
- Strong drafting skills, particularly in preparing costs schedules, bills of costs, and related documentation
- Knowledge of civil procedure rules and costs rules relevant to your jurisdiction
- Ability to manage multiple matters and communicate clearly with clients and opposing parties
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all costs-related work
- Qualified lawyer (solicitor or barrister) with a current practising certificate, or accredited costs draftsperson
- Relevant post-qualification experience in costs law or costs drafting
- Membership of a professional body such as the Association of Costs Lawyers (ACL) or equivalent
