An established law firm is seeking to appoint an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join its busy office in South East London. Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors with ideally 4+ years' PQE and a genuine passion for residential property work.
This opportunity would suit an individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach. The successful candidate will be confident managing their own caseload, building relationships with clients and professional contacts, and working effectively within a fast-paced commercial environment.
The role will involve handling a varied caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases and remortgages. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clients and agents with regular updates, practical advice and documentation throughout the transaction process, ensuring a high standard of client care at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a busy caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales, purchases and remortgages.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, agents and third parties.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across other practice areas and referring work internally where appropriate.
- Meeting client expectations through proactive case management and timely responses to enquiries.
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives.
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.
- Providing support to colleagues and working as part of a collaborative team environment.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Ideally 4-5+ years' PQE in Residential Conveyancing.
- Proven experience managing a residential property caseload independently.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Good IT skills and experience using case management systems.
- A proactive and client-focused approach to delivering high levels of service.
