Legal Secretary / Legal Administrator - Exclusive Role A well-established legal practice in Central Manchester is seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary / Legal Administrator to join its busy team.
This is a full-time, office-based position, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of legal professionals, providing administrative support across a varied workload. The role offers excellent long-term prospects and opportunities for development within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The position would suit an individual with previous legal administration, legal support or legal secretarial experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities - Providing administrative and secretarial support to a team of solicitors.
- Managing and maintaining legal files, documents and correspondence.
- Handling client enquiries and telephone calls in a professional and efficient manner.
- Assisting with the arrangement of appointments and meetings.
- Supporting file management processes and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Drafting, formatting and proofreading correspondence and legal documentation.
- Liaising with clients, third parties and other professionals where required.
- Managing diaries, appointments and meeting schedules.
- Processing incoming emails, post and telephone communications.
- Providing general administrative assistance to support the smooth running of the department.
Requirements - Previous experience within a legal administration, legal support or legal secretary role would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload effectively.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using legal case management systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Ability to work on a full-time, office-based basis in Central Manchester.
