London | Prominent US Law Firm | High-Value International Infrastructure & Energy Disputes

A leading US law firm is looking to strengthen its London Construction & Infrastructure Disputes team with the addition of a junior contentious construction lawyer.

This is an opportunity to join one of the world’s most internationally recognised disputes platforms, advising on complex, high-value construction and engineering disputes arising from some of the largest infrastructure and energy projects globally.

The team acts for major owners, developers, contractors, consultants, financial institutions, and investors on sophisticated “bet-the-company” disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

The Work

You’ll work closely with market-leading construction disputes lawyers on major international matters involving:
  • Hyperscale data centres
  • Semiconductor manufacturing facilities
  • Transport and water infrastructure
  • Biomedical and life sciences developments
  • LNG, petrochemical and refinery disputes
  • Offshore energy and power generation projects
  • EPC and major infrastructure disputes
  • Delay, disruption and quantum-related claims
  • International arbitration and High Court litigation
The practice is particularly strong across large-scale energy and infrastructure mandates and is known for handling technically complex disputes with significant commercial sensitivity.

The London construction disputes group forms part of a wider global infrastructure and energy disputes platform, working collaboratively with lawyers across the US, Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

The wider team combines elite disputes capability with genuine sector expertise, including experience in:
  • Engineering
  • Construction management
  • Scheduling and delay analysis
  • Construction cost accounting
You’ll gain exposure to highly technical disputes while working alongside internationally regarded practitioners in the sector.

The team is interested in speaking with:
  • England & Wales qualified solicitors
  • 1–3 PQE contentious construction lawyers
  • Candidates from recognised construction or disputes teams
  • Lawyers with experience in international arbitration, TCC litigation, or major project disputes
  • Individuals seeking a genuinely international platform and complex cross-border work
Strong academics, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate within a high-performing and fast paced international environment will be important.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Exposure to globally significant infrastructure and energy disputes
  • International arbitration and cross-border work
  • Elite US firm platform in London
  • High-calibre, technically sophisticated matters
  • Strong long-term progression potential
  • Opportunity to work with globally recognised construction disputes specialists
The London construction disputes market remains exceptionally active at junior level, particularly for lawyers with strong training backgrounds and experience on complex projects. This opportunity offers exposure to some of the most sophisticated work available in the sector.
