The firm is now seeking a Restructuring & Insolvency Solicitor to join its highly regarded national team, based in Birmingham. You will work closely with an experienced Partner as part of one of the largest restructuring and insolvency teams within a UK full-service law firm.

The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading Restructuring & Insolvency practice advising a broad range of clients including insolvency practitioners, directors, lenders and corporates. The team is known for its pragmatic, commercially focused approach across both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.

You will be involved in a varied and high-quality caseload, with exposure to complex and often high-profile work, alongside strong supervision and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on corporate insolvency matters including administrations, liquidations, CVAs and restructurings
• Supporting senior lawyers on insolvency litigation and office-holder claims, including wrongful trading, misfeasance, breach of duty and transaction avoidance claims
• Assisting on director and shareholder disputes arising from distressed situations
• Supporting cross-border insolvency matters and related disputes
• Advising on restructuring solutions and risk mitigation strategies for distressed businesses
• Assisting with sales out of administration and wider transactional insolvency work
• Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
• Drafting clear, commercially focused legal advice and documentation
• Contributing to business development and the ongoing growth of the insolvency practice

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year PQE
• Have experience in restructuring and insolvency matters (post-qualification or seat experience)
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency work
• Be confident in client communication and delivering pragmatic, commercial advice
• Have strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
• Be able to manage competing priorities effectively
• Work well within a collaborative, national team environment
• Be proactive, motivated and keen to develop within a leading practice
