Employment Professional Support Lawyer
Birmingham – £70,000 - £80,000
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a highly successful and growing employment law offering, supporting lawyers and clients through knowledge management, training, legal updates and innovation initiatives.
The role sits closely alongside the firm’s flagship HR advisory service, delivering fixed-fee employment and HR support to a broad client base across sectors including manufacturing, retail, utilities, professional services, hospitality and education.
The Opportunity This position is ideal for an experienced Employment Lawyer who enjoys technical legal work, training, drafting and staying at the forefront of employment law developments.
You will work collaboratively with lawyers across the team to create practical resources, maintain know-how systems and help drive innovation and efficiency across the employment practice.
Key Responsibilities - Updating employment law resources and online client materials to reflect legal developments
- Maintaining and developing employment precedents, templates and document libraries
- Drafting guidance notes, checklists and best practice materials for internal and external use
- Developing and delivering client-facing tools, webinars and training programmes
- Monitoring employment law updates, case law and legislative changes
- Supporting lawyers with technical legal queries and knowledge sharing
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, innovation and client service delivery
- Supporting product development and legal technology initiatives
- Delivering training to colleagues and clients
- Supporting on wider projects and limited fee-earning work where appropriate
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and training to existing clients
About You - Proven experience as an Employment Lawyer with strong technical employment law knowledge
- Excellent drafting, research and communication skills
- Experience presenting, training or delivering legal updates
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
