Property Litigation Associate

Greater London – £72,500 - £85,000

A highly regarded West End law firm is looking to appoint a Property Litigation Associate or Senior Associate into its growing Real Estate Disputes team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Property Litigator looking to step into a genuinely hands-on role within a close-knit, entrepreneurial environment where lawyers are given real responsibility, direct client access, and clear progression opportunities from an early stage.
The firm acts for an impressive client base including developers, investors, private landlords, businesses and commercial occupiers across a broad range of complex property disputes.

Unlike larger City platforms where lawyers can often become siloed, this role offers meaningful visibility across matters, close partner interaction, and the opportunity to play an active role in the continued growth of the team.

The Opportunity
You will work across a varied caseload of commercial and high-value residential property disputes, including:
  • Commercial landlord & tenant disputes
  • Lease and tenancy issues
  • Development and real estate contract disputes
  • Property insolvency matters
  • Rights of way and easement disputes
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Adverse possession matters
  • Possession and portfolio management disputes
  • High-value portfolio landlord matters
The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to run matters with autonomy whilst working closely alongside experienced senior lawyers within a collaborative team structure.
The team is particularly interested in individuals who are commercially aware, proactive, organised and capable of operating within a fast-paced environment.

Why This Role?
  • Genuine client exposure from day one
  • Strong progression and promotion-from-within culture
  • Entrepreneurial and collaborative firm environment
  • High level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Broad variety of quality commercial property disputes work
  • Opportunity to get involved in business development activities
  • Hybrid working structure
  • Supportive and down-to-earth culture
  • Strong internal reputation within the London real estate market
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate is likely to:
  • Be England & Wales qualified
  • Have roughly 3-5 years' PQE within Property Litigation
  • Have strong experience across commercial landlord & tenant disputes
  • Be comfortable managing matters with an appropriate degree of supervision
  • Possess strong drafting and communication skills
  • Be commercially minded and client-facing
  • Enjoy working within a collaborative, fast-paced team
  • Have experience gained within a respected private practice environment
Candidates with predominantly housing association-focused backgrounds are less likely to align with the nature of the work.

The Team
You will join an established and highly collaborative Property team with strong existing workflow and an excellent reputation across the London market.
The wider team advises a broad range of developers, investors, landlords, tenants and commercial clients across both contentious and non-contentious real estate matters.

Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits package on offer, alongside strong long-term progression opportunities within a growing and ambitious firm.
