Court of Protection Costs Team Leader

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Costs Team Leader to join their specialist Legal Costs team in Manchester. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary range of up to £55,000. As the Costs Resolution Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing an effective costs service to the Serious Injury Practice, leading a team of Cradle to Grave Cost Draftspeople and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within required deadlines.

Preferred Requirements:

• Day-to-day supervision of a team of Cradle to Grave Cost Draftspeople, including allocation of work, checking bills, budgets, Points of Reply, and overseeing cost negotiations
• Ensuring the team meets monthly and annual targets, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, and supporting the development of team members
• Managing your own Cradle to Grave case load and ensuring personal financial targets are met
• Demonstrating a high degree of technical expertise in costs, with the ability to develop strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders
• Possessing a "can-do" attitude, with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record as a Costs Team Leader or in a similar leadership role within the legal costs industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to address different types of audiences effectively
• Genuine enthusiasm for providing a high standard of client service and promoting a positive attitude within the team
