Our client, a highly ranked national firm with a seriously strong Real Estate & Construction platform, is looking to bring a 4+ PQE lawyer into their growing team. This is a chance to join a practice known for its depth of expertise, cross-sector work, and amazing internal culture.
What you'll be doing
You'll work on a broad mix of mainly non-contentious construction matters, with the opportunity to dip into contentious disputes too should you wish. Expect early access to high-value work, direct client contact, and the autonomy to run matters with confidence.
Your role will cover: - Advising on, drafting and negotiating amendments to JCT, FIDIC, NEC and associated collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees.
- Drafting and negotiating consultant appointments (JCT, RIBA, RICS) and bespoke subcontracts.
- Due diligence on warranty/TPR packages for commercial tenants.
- Construction input into AFLs and licences to alter.
- Drafting and negotiating fit‑out contracts, PCSAs, novation agreements and LOIs.
- Contract risk reviews for contractors and consultants during tenders.
- Advising on disputes (termination, insolvency, payment issues, EOT, defects).
- Supporting adjudication, litigation, arbitration and mediation work.
- Drafting and advising on term maintenance agreements.
You'll be supporting real estate colleagues on development matters too, so you'll see the full lifecycle of work and get genuine breadth.
