Employment Associate (2+ PQE)
Manchester – £55,000 - £65,000
Douglas Scott are working with a a top‑ranked Employment, Pensions & Immigration team with a standout reputation in the healthcare sector. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to work with major UK healthcare clients and play a key role in a growing Manchester team.
What you’ll do - Advise on the full range of employment issues: redundancy, disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination.
- Run and defend Employment Tribunal claims.
- Support clients on change programmes, consultation and contractual variations.
- Provide industrial relations advice.
- Draft articles, updates and deliver training.
- Get involved in business development and client engagement.
- Work to client SLAs and contribute to team targets.
What we’re looking for - 2+ PQE in employment law
- Strong technical skills and confidence managing your own caseload.
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team‑focused, proactive and commercially minded.
- Ideally experience supervising junior lawyers.
