Manchester – £100,000 - £110,000

Role: Legal Director - Corporate (10 PQE+)
Location: Manchester CC
Salary: £95K to £110K DOE
 
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Corporate lawyer to step into a Legal Director role within one of Manchester's most respected national firms. The team continues to grow at pace and is looking for a senior corporate specialist with strong experience across private equity transactions and mid‑market M&A.
 
You'll be joining a high‑performing corporate practice known for its work with national and international corporates, private equity houses, high‑growth businesses and entrepreneurial clients. The team handles a broad range of complex, high‑value deals and offers a genuinely collaborative, modern working culture.
 
The Role
 
You'll take a leading role on transactions, working closely with partners and supervising more junior lawyers. The work will include:

• Acting on private equity investments, buyouts and portfolio support
• Leading mid‑market M&A transactions (buy‑side and sell‑side)
• Advising on group reorganisations and corporate structuring
• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, investment documents and wider corporate governance matters
• Supporting the development of client relationships and contributing to BD strategy
• Playing a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members

What you'll bring

• 10+ PQE with a strong background in corporate transactional work
• Demonstrable experience running private equity deals and complex M&A transactions
• Confidence leading on transactions and managing client relationships
• A commercial, solutions‑focused approach
• Strong technical skills and the ability to supervise and support junior lawyers
• Drive, ambition and a collaborative mindset
