Solicitor (Grade A/B) - Clinical Negligence Location: Birmingham - Hybrid 1 day in the office a week Salary: £65,000 DOE + Bonus About the Role My client is a specialist firm in clinical negligence and personal injury, and they are looking to bring in a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their growing team. My client has real ambitions to grow so if career development is what you are after then now is the perfect time to join.
In the role you will be managing a mixed caseload that will include high value, complex matters such as birth, brain and spinal injuries. You will also get involved within business development activities as well as mentoring junior members of the team.
Salary for the role will be £65,000 DOE plus a 14% annual bonus. Other benefits include 27 day AL plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, enhanced maternity/paternity, 8 % pension to name a few. The offices you will attend once a week, although you can go in more often if you wish.
Key Responsibilities - Managing a high-value, complex caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
- Proactive case strategy, drafting, negotiation, and, where necessary, litigation
- Collaborating with clients, experts, and counsel, ensuring excellent client care at all times
- Supporting team performance and development, including coaching junior solicitors
- Driving financial and service delivery targets with a commercial mindset
Skills & Experience Required - 4+ PQE (or equivalent experience) in clinical negligence
- Strong technical expertise with a proven track record in high-value claims
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Commercially aware with strong organisational and case management ability
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
- Client-focused, with exceptional communication skills

The ideal candidate will have previous claimant clinical negligence experience either managing or assisting a caseload. Those from a defendant background looking to get into claimant work will also be considered.
