An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join the firm as Head of Conveyancing. This role offers genuine scope for progression and the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the department.
The Role
As Head of Conveyancing, you will lead and manage a small, dedicated team of solicitors, fee earners and paralegals. The team handles a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, with a particular focus on probate and trust sales.
In addition to overseeing the team, you will manage your own caseload of complex transactions, ensuring the highest standards of client service, compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and develop the conveyancing team.
- Manage a personal caseload of complex residential conveyancing files.
- Review and refine internal processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver regular training and mentoring to junior team members.
- Report key management information to the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
- Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in residential conveyancing (essential).
- Demonstrable management or supervisory experience within a conveyancing team.
- Experience handling probate and trust transactions (advantageous).
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Holds a valid SRA practising certificate.
- Competitive salary between £60,000 - £80,000 (DOE).
