Family Law Solicitor 2 to 5 Years PQE Preston A well regarded regional law firm with a strong reputation for private family work is looking to recruit a Family Law Solicitor to join its established team in Preston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with between two and five years' post qualification experience to take on a high quality private family caseload within a supportive and experienced environment. The firm is known for delivering a sensitive, client focused service and for the strength and depth of its family law expertise.
The Role The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of privately funded family matters from start to finish. The work will be varied and intellectually stimulating, covering the full spectrum of private family law including divorce, financial remedies, pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and TOLATA matters.
There will also be some private children work and applications for non molestation and occupation orders.
The role involves regular client contact and requires a solicitor who is confident advising clients on complex and often sensitive matters, while delivering a high standard of service throughout.
Key Responsibilities Managing a full caseload of private family matters from inception to conclusion
Advising clients with professionalism, empathy and clarity
Drafting pleadings and legal documentation to a high standard
Preparing cases for hearings and trials where required
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Working collaboratively with colleagues and developing internal and external networks
Ensuring files are managed in line with best practice, regulatory requirements and service standards
Experience and Skills Required Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with two to five years' PQE in family law
Strong experience handling privately funded matrimonial and family matters independently
Sound technical knowledge across divorce, finances, cohabitation disputes and related areas
Excellent client care and communication skills
Commercial awareness and an interest in business development and networking
Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively
