Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our specialist team managing complex military claims against the Ministry of Defence and industrial disease cases. The successful candidate will take ownership of a challenging caseload, handling both pre-litigated and litigated matters with confidence, technical expertise, and the highest standards of client care. Key Responsibilities - Manage a caseload of military claims (both litigated and pre-litigated) and industrial disease claims where appropriate
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, litigation processes, and relevant legislation and case law
- Handle complex and high-value cases involving military claims, NIHL, Short Tail, and Long Tail industrial disease matters
- Draft high-quality legal documents and correspondence
- Achieve monthly and annual financial and productivity targets
- Manage risk effectively at both individual and team levels
- Maintain excellent client relationships and uphold the company's commitment to exceptional customer service
- Work collaboratively within the team while taking full responsibility for your own caseload
- Operate within all internal and external compliance standards
About You - Minimum of 3 years' experience handling complex personal injury cases, specifically military claims and/or industrial disease work
- Excellent working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
- Proven track record managing fast track and multi-track cases
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
- Confident in handling cost budgeting and case management conferences
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, commercially aware, and focused on delivering results
- Experience using Proclaim or similar case management systems is highly desirable
- PC literate (Microsoft Office Suite)
