Senior Private Client Solicitor

Cheshire – £47,500 - £60,000

Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join a highly respected and long-established law firm based in Chester.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated solicitor to take on a senior position within a forward-thinking practice known for its outstanding client service, strong community values, and supportive working culture. The successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload including Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate Administration, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, often involving complex and high-net-worth matters.
 
In addition to handling their own caseload, the Senior Solicitor will play a key role in mentoring junior colleagues, developing lasting client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the Private Client department.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied private client caseload, including complex estates and trusts
• Provide high-quality legal advice with a client-focused approach
• Support and supervise junior team members
• Develop and maintain strong client and referrer relationships
• Actively contribute to business development and marketing initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years' PQE in Private Client work
• Proven experience handling complex and high-value estates
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• A proactive, commercially minded approach
• STEP qualification (or working towards one) preferred
