Senior Solicitor - Professional Indemnity (Construction Focus)
Location: Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds (Hybrid)
 
We're working with a leading law firm seeking to appoint a Senior Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join their highly regarded Specialty Core team. This group is known for its expertise, complex high-value litigation, and impressive client base. The role offers exposure to challenging and varied work, with strong mentoring, development, and clear routes for progression.
 
The role:
You will manage your own caseload while supporting on larger, high-value matters. Work will primarily involve defending professional indemnity claims, particularly in relation to construction professionals (architects, engineers, etc.), as well as wider professional risk and coverage issues.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Handling a broad caseload of professional indemnity and insurance disputes.
• Advising insurer and insured clients on liability and coverage.
• Supporting partners on complex litigation.
• Drafting detailed reports, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development.

About you:

• 5+ years PQE in professional indemnity, with solid construction experience.
• Strong understanding of insurance litigation, policy coverage, and commercial insurance markets.
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical, communication and client-facing skills.
• Team player with the ability to lead on matters and develop others.
