Associate Employment Solicitor Location: 1 day per week in Manchester office
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join its legal team, supporting a variety of employment law matters across contentious and non-contentious workstreams.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a number of large retail sector clients.
Key Responsibilities: - Advising on ACAS early conciliation, HR processes, grievance and disciplinary procedures
- Drafting and reviewing employment documentation including contracts, policies, handbooks, and settlement agreements
- Managing Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal matters, from instruction through to hearing
- Conducting advocacy, case management, witness preparation, and briefing internal stakeholders
- Delivering legal training and updates, contributing to internal knowledge sharing
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external clients
Candidate Profile: - UK qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid Practising Certificate
- Minimum 7-8 years' post-qualification experience in employment law
- Proven experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Commercially aware, confident in advising clients, and able to manage a busy caseload independently
