Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner
Location: Garstang / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience Are you a skilled Residential Conveyancer looking to take the next step in your career within a forward-thinking and supportive law firm? The Role: As a valued member of the residential property department, you’ll take ownership of your own files while working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient, client-focused service. This role provides a balance of independence and support, where your expertise and contribution will be recognised and rewarded.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to post-completion with minimal supervision.
- Advising on all types of transactions including sales, purchases, leasehold, freehold, remortgages, new builds, and transfers of equity.
- Handling more complex matters such as lease extensions, unregistered titles, right-to-buy purchases, and shared ownership schemes where appropriate.
- Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to ensure smooth progression of transactions.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, checking titles, raising and responding to enquiries, and ensuring compliance at each stage.
- Keeping detailed and accurate case notes using the firm’s case management system.
- Delivering tailored client service with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and trust-building.
What We’re Looking For: - At least 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing, ideally gained in a high street or regional law firm.
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently with strong technical skills.
- Previous exposure to light commercial property work is an advantage but not essential.
- Highly organised with a proactive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-first approach.
- A collaborative and friendly team player who contributes positively to office culture.
- Confident in using case management software and working within a hybrid framework.
