Private Client Fee Earner Location: Warrington / Hybrid Working Salary: DOE A reputable firm is seeking a Private Client Fee Earner to join its well-established team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional at the early stages of their career to develop their skills within a supportive, progressive environment.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the Warrington market, with an understanding of the local client base, community needs, and regional dynamics. The firm has strong local ties, and this role offers the chance to build long-standing relationships with clients across Warrington and the wider Cheshire area.
The Role: As a Private Client Fee Earner, you will manage your own matters while supporting senior colleagues with more complex instructions. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting simple and complex Wills tailored to clients’ individual circumstances.
- Assisting with estate administration, including preparing probate applications, liaising with HMRC, and distributing assets.
- Advising on inheritance tax planning and long-term wealth preservation.
- Assisting in the creation and administration of trusts, ensuring full legal compliance.
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Supporting Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications.
- Providing clear, compassionate advice and building trusted relationships with clients across the Warrington area.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to departmental efficiency and business development, particularly within the local market.
What We’re Looking For: - 0–2 years’ experience, with a strong interest or prior exposure to Private Client law.
- Knowledge of, or enthusiasm to develop knowledge of, the Warrington private client market, community demographics, and local client needs.
- A solid academic background with a real passion for Wills, Probate, Tax Planning, and Trusts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain sensitive legal matters with clarity and empathy.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage your own files confidently.
- Ambition to grow within a department offering clear career development and progression.
