A highly regarded regional law firm is looking for an experienced Family Legal Secretary to provide dedicated support to a Senior Family Solicitor within its established and well-respected Family department. This is a superb opportunity for a proactive, organised professional with strong secretarial experience in family law.
 
The Role
You will be an essential member of the team, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and delivering a consistently professional service to clients. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents, and reports via audio typing and word processing
  • Managing digital filing systems, including opening, closing, storing, and retrieving client files
  • Coordinating diaries, scheduling meetings, and arranging appointments
  • Providing reception cover when required
  • Delivering professional, client-focused support both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Assisting with court documentation and maintaining case management systems
  • Working collaboratively with other secretaries and administrative staff to support the wider team
  • Handling confidential information with discretion and upholding high standards of client care
About You
  • Previous legal secretarial or PA experience within a law firm
  • Experience within Family Law is essential
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication
  • Professional, confident, and client-focused, with outstanding attention to detail
  • Highly organised and able to manage a busy workload independently
