The role involves managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, providing clear and supportive guidance to clients throughout their property transactions. The successful candidate will handle residential purchases and sales, including freehold, leasehold, new build, and simultaneous transactions, while ensuring all legal aspects are managed efficiently and accurately.
Key responsibilities include reviewing lease terms, advising on ground rent and service charge provisions, managing mortgage and remortgage arrangements, and assisting clients with buy-to-let matters. The position also requires advising on lease extensions, enfranchisement, and the implications of upcoming changes under the Leasehold Reform Act 2024. The candidate will prepare Declarations of Trust for joint purchasers and maintain high standards of client care and communication throughout all stages of the process.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in residential conveyancing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex leasehold issues while building positive client relationships.
