Senior Residential Property Solicitor
Location: Kendal / Hybrid

As a Senior Solicitor within the Residential Property department, you’ll play a key role in managing a complex and varied caseload, supervising junior team members, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm.
The Role: As a Senior Residential Property Solicitor, you will handle a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring each transaction is dealt with efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full and varied caseload of freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity, including high-value and complex property transactions.
- Provide clear, pragmatic, and client-focused legal advice throughout the conveyancing process.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and associated legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Identify and resolve complex title issues, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, conveyancers, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
- Support the Head of Department with operational matters and team coordination as required.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking, client events, and relationship management.
- Ensure the effective use of the case management system, maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout each file.
- Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing law and practice to ensure the delivery of accurate, current advice.
What We’re Looking For: - 5+ years’ PQE as a Residential Conveyancing or Property Solicitor.
- Proven experience managing a high-volume, varied caseload with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of freehold and leasehold property, including complex and unregistered titles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and mentor junior team members.
- Exceptional communication and client care skills, with a proactive and personable approach.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Commercial awareness with a keen eye for business development opportunities.
- Proficiency in modern conveyancing case management systems (experience with systems like Proclaim or Redbrick advantageous).
