Salary: Competitive package with excellent bonus structure Are you a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor seeking a new opportunity? This is a fantastic chance to join a well-established and highly regarded Conveyancing team in Wigan. You’ll be part of a supportive environment, working alongside experienced professionals while managing a varied and stimulating caseload.
The Role: As a Conveyancing Solicitor, you will be responsible for overseeing your own caseload from instruction through to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process for clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handling a broad range of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and shared ownership.
- Advising clients with clarity and professionalism while maintaining excellent client care.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal documents, and forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Addressing complex legal queries, carrying out research, and providing practical solutions to mitigate risks.
- Managing caseloads efficiently, meeting personal and departmental targets while ensuring deadlines are achieved.
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, agents, lenders, brokers, and third parties.
- Proactively engaging in business development, networking, and client initiatives to help grow the department.
- Accurately managing financial elements, including billing and fund transfers upon completion.
- Using modern case management systems to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
What We’re Looking For: - A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Fee Earner with ideally 2–3+ years’ experience handling a full conveyancing caseload.
- Experience in both residential and (ideally) commercial property transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to run a caseload independently while working as part of a wider team.
- Previous experience supervising or leading junior staff is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with a wide range of clients.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development.
