I am working with a highly regarded law firm seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate to join its Family team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of family law matters, with a particular focus on complex and high-value financial remedy cases.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior colleagues and benefit from a collaborative, supportive team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor who thrives in high-performing teams and is keen to take ownership of challenging and rewarding cases.

The role will involve:

• Advising on a variety of family law matters, including financial remedy and private children disputes.
• Drafting legal documents such as Forms E, questionnaires, witness statements, draft orders, and instructions to experts.
• Attending hearings, FDRs and interim applications, and liaising with counsel and other professionals.
• Providing clients with clear, strategic advice on risks, options, and dispute resolution.
• Managing case files, billing, and compliance processes to a high professional standard.
• Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting team development.
• Engaging in business development activities such as writing, presenting, and attending events.

Candidate requirements:

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in family law.
• Strong expertise in financial remedy work, including experience with complex and high-net-worth disputes.
• Confident handling both litigation and non-court resolution.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, and communication skills.
• Commercially astute, client-focused, and solutions-driven.
• Experience supporting junior team members and contributing to business growth.
• Comfortable using family law software (e.g., Capitalise, Quantum) and working with financial data.
