In-House Senior Legal Counsel

Birmingham – £80,000 - £90,000

Douglas Scott are working with a market leading Service Business who are Headquartered in the West Midlands. The global business is growing with over 15K employees in the UK (spread across 10+ offices) and over 70K globally.
  
They're on the lookout for a 5+ PQE solicitor (no upper limit on experience) who is confident giving commercially focussed legal advice to senior stakeholders as well as a variety of public and private sector clients.
  
Job Title: In-House Senior Legal Counsel - Construction
Location: West Midlands
Flexibility: Hybrid working options in place. Typically 1 day in office
Salary: £80K to £90K + Car Allowance + Bonus

You'll be handling a variety of contracts on behalf of the business, predominantly on refurbished housing projects to a range of public and private sector clients. The role will also cover sustainable energy management. 
An understanding of the contractual framework surrounding construction projects is therefore required. This includes experience of drafting and negotiating predominately non-contentious JCT and NEC contracts.

You'll also be supporting commercial and contract negotiations and variations as well as any on-going contractual operational matters.

The role is based at the business' UK HQ in the West-Midlands but travel to other offices could be required (max 1 day a week).
