Build the future of AI & digital regulation — Associate (2-3 PQE) | London

A US-headquartered firm with a global tech pedigree is scaling its London Technology, Data & Digital practice following a high-profile partner lateral. If you live at the intersection of AI, privacy, cybersecurity, and platform regulation, this is a chance to help shape the team from the ground up.

  • Product counsel for launches and features (privacy-by-design, safety, transparency, algorithmic accountability).
  • Guide clients through regulatory engagement (ICO, Ofcom, CMA) and cross-border incident response/data breaches.
  • Structure and negotiate technology transactions and data-rich commercial agreements.
  • Help shape policy positions, thought leadership, and client playbooks for AI and digital regulation.
  • Take visible ownership on mandates with direct client access; mentor juniors as the team grows.
What you'll need
  • Around 2-3 PQE in tech/privacy/digital regulation
  • Hands-on with one or more of: GDPR/UK GDPR, AI Act, DSA/DMA, OSA, NIS2, Data Act, platform liability, adtech, fintech or safety-by-design.
  • Comfort operating across ambiguous, fast-moving regulatory landscapes; crisp drafting; confident stakeholder management.
  • A commercial mindset and appetite for early-stage team building and BD.
The team
  • Deep AI/digital regulation credentials alongside a growing London bench and seamless US/EU collaboration.

  • Modern working culture; high-growth, low-ego environment; City office with hybrid flexibility.
Why this, why now
  • Be part of a London build that serves household-name tech clients, founders, investors and financial institutions across Europe.
  • Shape practice assets (toolkits, templates, training) and your own niche (AI safety, child safety, platform governance, data transfers, etc.).
  • Top of the market compensation and benefits commensurate with a leading international platform.
