They are now looking to appoint an experienced Legal Cashier to join their busy Stockport office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who understands the importance of accuracy, compliance, and supporting operational excellence in a legal setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily financial transactions across office and client accounts
- Handle incoming and outgoing payments, including cheques and bank transfers
- Manage client invoicing and ensure timely posting of receipts
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with petty cash, ledger maintenance, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and internal financial procedures
- Prior experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance/accounts role
- Strong understanding of SAR and legal accounting processes
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach
- Experience using financial software and Excel proficiency
- Previous exposure to legal or professional services is advantageous
