Pensions Associate

London – £140,000 - £160,000

A leading international law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its specialist pensions team in London. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of corporate, advisory and contentious pensions matters for a high-profile client base, including major insurers, corporates, and public sector bodies.

The role sits within the firm’s Employment, Pensions, and Incentives (EPI) group and focuses exclusively on pensions-related work, not blended with employment or remuneration matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising trustees, employers, and scheme administrators on scheme management and compliance
  • Supporting corporate transactions involving pensions liabilities
  • Advising on scheme reorganisations, wind-ups, funding issues, and risk management strategies
  • Contributing to cross-practice pensions litigation and regulatory advice
  • Drafting scheme documentation and amendments
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 1.5 –5 years’ PQE, with strong pensions experience from a City or respected regional firm
  • Good academic background
  • Clear commitment to private practice and an interest in working on technically complex matters
  • Strong drafting skills and ability to provide commercially-minded advice
