London | HybridI’m supporting a top-tier London law firm with a standout reputation across media, entertainment, leisure and sport, underpinned by a strong commercial platform spanning corporate, employment, real estate and disputes.
The firm is looking to hire an IP Associate (2+ PQE) into its Brands & Trade Marks team, which is in genuine growth mode. The practice is partner-led, collegiate and fast-paced, advising high-profile brands, rights holders and growth businesses operating in brand-sensitive sectors.
The role
This is a broad, high-quality trade marks role offering real responsibility, client exposure and progression. You’ll work closely with partners and senior associates across the full brand lifecycle, with a strong mix of UK and international work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on brand protection strategy, including trade marks and designs
- Running clearance, availability and conflict assessments
- Managing UK, EU and international filings and prosecution
- Supporting EU trade mark and design matters, including cross-border coordination
- Drafting and reviewing trade mark licences, coexistence agreements and related documentation
- Assisting on enforcement and contentious brand matters where required
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Playing an active role in business development and marketing initiatives
- 2+ years’ PQE with experience from a leading London IP / trade marks practice
- Strong technical accuracy combined with commercial awareness and client confidence
- Comfortable operating in a discreet, client-sensitive environment
- England & Wales qualified solicitor and/or UK Trade Mark Attorney
- Proactive, organised and confident managing matters with increasing autonomy
- Hybrid working (typically 3+ days in the office)
