Location: Bolton / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

An expanding Bolton-based law firm is seeking an experienced and driven Housing Disrepair Fee Earner / Manager to lead and strengthen its growing litigation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive litigator with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in housing disrepair work to step into a high-impact role. The firm offers a supportive environment, a strong flow of cases, and the chance to drive both team performance and client satisfaction.

The Role:

  • Conducting technical file reviews and providing training where required to enhance the team’s legal and procedural knowledge.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules, internal policies, and SRA regulations.
  • Liaising with surveyors, counsel, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient resolution of claims.
  • Supporting the wider goals of the firm by contributing to department targets and identifying areas for improvement or expansion.
  • Promoting a collaborative, client-focused culture that prioritises quality and results.
  •
What We’re Looking For:
  • Ideally 5+ years’ PQE with a strong background in Housing Disrepair and civil litigation.
  • Previous leadership experience, with the ability to manage, develop, and inspire a small legal team.
  • Solid understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair Claims and litigation strategy.
  • Strong technical and procedural knowledge, with confidence handling files through to trial where necessary.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle competing demands in a high-volume setting.
  • A commercial and strategic mindset, aligned with the firm’s long-term growth objectives.
  • Clear communication skills and a supportive approach to supervision and client care.
